Update: the Browns almost drop 50 on the Cowboys, because it’s 2020 and nothing makes sense anymore. Lots of comebacks today, too. Turns out we get the Bills at Raiders instead for our PM game , and the Bills are up 7-0 already.

Week 4 - 28 Days Later.

I think it’s a matter of when, not if, the league has to pause the season. I will be utterly shocked if none of the Vikings players test positive over the next few days. If they don’t... then what the hell was going on in the Titans plane on the way back from the game? Also, I think it’s pretty clear what’s happening with Cam Newton and Jordan Ta’amu testing positive. THEY’RE THE SAME PERSON. Why else would they use Ta’amu to simulate Cam with the Chiefs’ scout team? Have you ever seen them in the same room together? WAKE UP, SHEEPLE.

In the meantime... hey, my team isn’t the worst team in the league!! WE’RE NUMBER (THIRTY-)ONE!! WE’RE NUMBER (THIRTY-)ONE!! Also, Gregg Williams is a tool.

Today, our games on CBS are Chargers at Bucs early, and we were supposed to get the now-postponed Pats-Chiefs game. Our affiliate hasn’t updated the schedule yet, but since the league moved the Colts-Bears game to the afternoon, that’ll be the one we probably get. I would assume the Bucs beat the Chargers, as I doubt a rookie QB is going to hold up well against that defense. I don’t necessarily think Justin Herbert will be bad, the Bucs are just a better team. I think the Colts steal a win against the Bears. Over on Fox, we just get one game early, Browns at Cowboys. I think I’ll watch that one. I know the Cowboys will probably win, but if there’s even a chance that the Browns could upset them at home I want to be there to see Jerry’s face. Sunday Night is the Eagles at the “49ers”. Are the Eagles really that bad? No, I’m asking. I haven’t really seen any of their games. Still, they have to at least have a small chance since so many starters are out for the Niners. I guess I’d still have to take the home team. Monday Night will be the Falcons at the Packers, and possibly the postponed Pats-Chiefs game. How is that going to work? ESPN probably has to stick with their scheduled game. Will Pats-Chiefs be on CBS? Give me the Packers, and I’m not dumb enough to take the Pats with a backup QB against the best team in football right now.

The rest:

Seahawks at Dolphins - I can’t see how the Dolphins win this game.

Jaguars at Bengals - I want to pick the Jags, but I don’t know. This might be a decent game.

Vikings at Texans - The Texans can’t be as bad as the Vikings have been, can they?

Ravens at Teamies - Ravens.

Saints at Lions - Turns out the one Saints player that tested positive was tested again and tested negative, so the game is still on. I think Drew Brees might be hitting the age wall now. I’m going to take the Lions, so I’m sorry to all the Lions fans because they’ll almost certainly lose now.

Cardinals at Panthers - No Christian McCaffrey for the Panthers so I’ll say the Cards.

Giants at Rams - Ooh, no thank you.

Bills at Raiders - As much as I hate to say it, the Raiders aren’t a bad team. I do think they lose to the Bills, though.

I’d like to share a bit of good news to close this out. Over the last three months I’ve lost 30 lbs. I’ve hit the 10% mark, meaning I’ve lost 10% of my starting body weight. I’m definitely feeling much better, and even when the scale doesn’t show that it’s moving, I know I’m making good progress because I feel significantly lighter and my clothes are getting looser. Also, my husband has lost about the same amount. I’m struggling with exercise right now because I typically walk for that, but with it getting darker earlier (and colder) it’s been hard to squeeze it in. If anyone has some suggestions for any exercise videos on YouTube or something, please let me know. I don’t have any equipment at home and it’s hard to find right now in stores, so preferably anything that doesn’t require equipment. Thanks in advance!

“ Vikings at Texans - The Texans can’t be as bad as the Vikings have been, can they?”

You bet your ass they can be. Never underestimate Bill O’Brien.

T h ey’re definitely pausing the season, I just don’ t know if it will be October or November. These single/double delays will be every week, then a whopper hits where they’re postponing 6 games and just decide to wait.

Personally, I can count the minutes I’ve watched on 2 hands. Football just doesn’t matter this year, too many other things  melting down.

I will be a bit shocked if this isn’t the last weekend of football for a month. I don’t even know that they have to cancel any games, because everyone’s time tables are screwed up. Having a Super Bowl in March wouldn’t offend me any. Plus, there’s been so many injuries it could give some extra time to heal.

Oof. I’d never have guessed the Broncos would have a better record than the Texans at this point. We’re on our 70th QB for Pete’s sake.

Congrats! I lost 40 pounds last year; regrettably this year has totally sapped my will to discipline myself and of course cost me my ability to get personal training at the gym, so I’ve regained some of it, but it’s a great feeling to start to get that under control.

I mean i t might, but if there are any more positive tests over the next day or so, there will be a big push to pause it.

We’re trash. Trashy trash. We were embarrassed by an 0-3 team. Nonexistent defense. An offense that can’t give our crap defense a rest.

Oscar The Grouch just announced he will be residing in NRG for the rest of the year bc it feels more like home to him

That’s awesome! Yeah, I really wish I was fearless enough to go to a gym right now, but as my job requires me to be in and out of hospitals every day I figure I shouldn't push my luck.

Do you think it’s a lock that BoB will be fired?

From who? Players association or owners? Owners need this to continue ans I don’t think the players association wants to re-negotiate.

You spelled my team wrong. It’s 49IRs, thank you very much.

Browns game was awesome!

Gase and Greggggggg need to be blacklisted. The end of that game was fucking horseshit.

Go Bills! Swear they give me heart palpitations every game. Up by two TDs with two minutes left? Still don’t trust it. 4-0 baby!

Some tough contenders coming up and I hope our defense picks it up  they had a couple nice stops but everything before was just letting people straight up the middle

Oh yes, my bad. I should have known how to spell it right because m y team is the DenvIR Broncos.

The end of that game was nuts. So was the Bills-Raiders game. So many fumbles.

I selfishly hope you’re right, because if it does keep rolling along then that means there’s a good chance the Broncos would face the Patriots next weekend without them having Cam Newton playing. That’s really our  only chance, and even then it’s a bit of a longshot.

As a Pats fan, I’m a bit annoyed to not have Cam. He was rolling pretty good but the Pats system is pretty good and I’m sure Hoyer can spell for a game or two. The Chiefs wasn’t going to be a win anyways.

I’m not holding out much hope for an upset.  Your team has probably the best head coach who’s ever lived, and we have a guy who is ok but does not know how to do things like manage a clock at the end of a game.

I’m loving the Bills this year.  Lifelong fan (unfortunately sometimes) is super happy to actually have an offense to root for this year.  I’m sure the defense will come around, and when it does, look out league!

Nope. I think that he keeps his job through the year at least. At some point soon, we’ll go on a winning streak and wind up close to .500, but won’t make the playoffs.

My season ticket seat mate (we sit next to each other) is all over the news and Yahoo Sports.  He made a huge “Fire Bill O’Brien” flag and held it up during the 4th quarter of the game (fans were allowed in the stadium for Toilet Bowl 2020).  This is the sentiment that has been prevalent in recent years, but nothing has been done about it by the owner.

I read your comment, thought to myself “Yeah, that makes sense”, got into my van and turned on the radio and heard “...now that the Texans have fired Bill O’Brien...”

I will say this, I've always liked Romeo Crennel. I can't help but think of that tragedy he went through in K.C. and pull for him.

My buddy with the flag? He’s been featured on almost every sports outlet holding that flag, including USA Today and Yahoo Sports. We’ve literally had signs like that for three years at the games.

I didn’t think our owner, Cal McNair, has it in him to fire BoB during the season.  Hopefully, he makes a really good hire at the end of the season.  We’ll see, though.
